Discover Janod's popular book-format magnetic toys – perfect as travel toys, for quiet play at home, and for sparking imagination, language, and fine motor skills. On this page, you can choose between the classics Magneti’Book (Dragons, Unicorns) and Magneti’Stories (Unicorns, Farm). 

What's the difference – and why does the price vary?

Magneti’Stories is a storytelling toy with a large illustrated background + 30 magnets. Children build their own scenes and tell stories – simple, open-ended, and easy to take with them. This is our most affordable option (199 NOK). 

Magneti’Book is a more "task-based" magnet box where the child gets many magnets + 10 model cards to copy or mix freely. These often come with more magnets (e.g., 53 in Dragons and 44 in Unicorns), and the box is extra sturdy – which is why the price is higher (329 NOK). 

The variants on this page

Magneti’Book Dragons offers 53 magnets and 10 cards with dragons from various cultures – build according to the cards or invent your own creatures. Magneti’Book Unicorns has 44 magnets and 10 cards with enchanting unicorn scenes. Magneti’Stories Unicorns and Magneti’Stories Farm come in book format with a large magnetic scene and 30 magnets for free storytelling. All are recommended for ages approx. 3 years and up and are made from FSC-certified cardboard. 

Both Magneti’Book and Magneti’Stories are compact, easy to pack, and perfect to take in a backpack. Choose Magneti’Stories if you want the most open-ended, storytelling play at a low price, or Magneti’Book if you want more magnets, inspiration cards, and an extra sturdy box that can withstand many trips.

Bamsedyra is registered with an EU VAT number, so VAT is already included in the price you pay at checkout — you will not be charged VAT again when the parcel arrives.

Important update (from 1 July 2026): due to new EU customs rules, some parcels may be charged a separate customs declaration fee of approximately kr 99 by the delivery carrier. Unfortunately I am not able to prepay this fee on your behalf, so it will be charged to you as the recipient on delivery — unless we have arranged in advance for Bamsedyra to cover it. Just email me at josh@bamsedyra.no before you order if you would like to arrange this.

If your package exceeds these dimensions or if the shipping cost is significantly higher than standard for my business, I reserve the right to request an additional payment for postage. If you do not wish to pay the extra cost, I will refund the full amount.
